TAMPA, Fla. – October 27, 2025 – Moss, a top-ranked national construction firm, announces the topping-out of a six-story office and retail building in Ybor City’s Gasworx district. The more than 145,000-square-foot building will serve as the future headquarters for Grow Financial and a key piece of the broader district designed to bring new life to Tampa’s most historic neighborhood.

The office tower, designed by S9Architecture with Smallwood serving as the architect of record, blends modern design with nods to Ybor City’s storied architecture that has defined the area for generations. Located in the heart of the Barrio Latino Historic District, the building will also feature 9,000-square-feet of ground-floor retail to activate the streetscape.

Future tenants and visitors will enjoy a rooftop deck, outdoor terraces, a state-of-the-art conference facility, and a welcoming lobby café and bar that connects directly to the Gasworx retail and dining marketplace. With Grow Financial committed to occupying 50 percent of the building, the project is set to bring a daily influx of new businesses, workers, and energy into the district.

The JW Marriott Beach Resort & Spa in Clearwater Beach, built during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, presented another unique set of challenges. Moss deployed just-in-time procurement and adaptive engineering to overcome supply chain issues and space limitations, delivering a 16-story resort that generated hundreds of local jobs.

For Amalie Arena, Moss modernized the facility’s aging ice plant system while working around 33 scheduled events. Through night and weekend shifts, the team completed the upgrade safely and efficiently—supporting uninterrupted operations for the Tampa Bay Lightning and arena events.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Moss, a top-ranked national construction firm, announced today that Steve Hope has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 2025. This carefully planned transition reflects Moss’ commitment to thoughtful succession planning, ensuring a strong foundation for the company’s future growth and success.

Hope joined Moss in August 2024 as Executive Vice President of Finance, bringing more than two decades of financial leadership experience from global organizations, including Keller Group and Nissan. Since joining Moss, Hope has embraced the company’s core values and culture, while demonstrating expertise in modernizing financial systems, driving operational efficiency and delivering sustainable profitability. As CFO, he will oversee Accounting, Finance, Fleet and Asset Management functions, reporting directly to CEO Scott Moss.

Hope succeeds Dan Wobby, a transformative leader whose contributions as CFO since 2021 and as Chief Strategy Officer before that have left an indelible mark on Moss’ success. Over his nine years with the company, Wobby has been instrumental in shaping Moss’ growth, culture and strategic vision. His efforts in driving operational transparency have strengthened Moss and fostered a culture of excellence, collaboration and long-term thinking.

Wobby will transition to the role of Strategic Business Advisor and remain a member of the Vision Leadership Team (VLT) until his planned retirement in January 2026. During this time, he will work closely with Steve to ensure a seamless transfer of responsibilities.
